BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -
An education fund has been set up for the two young children of a Tigard man who died while climbing Mount Hood this week.
Jared Townsley died from a severe fall while heading down the mountain Monday.
Townsley's family described him as a skilled climber who summitted Mount Hood at least 12 times, including six solo climbs.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte, his two children, his older brother Joshua and his sister, Rachel Stramel.
