State police are asking for help to find whoever shot and killed five hawks in Sherman County.
Troopers said the hawks were found Thursday along Stradley Road and Ball Lane south of Grass Valley. It appears the birds were shot from the roadway as they perched on power poles.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered by the Audubon Society of Portland for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Senior Trooper Pearson at 541-296-9646 or swede.pearson@state.or.us.
