BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -
More than a hundred senior citizens from three local retirement communities took over the Fred Meyer store on Beaverton Hillsdale Highway on Monday.
The group performed a patriotic flash mob, singing "America the Beautiful" and "God Bless America" while waving American flags.
SLIDESHOW: Patriotic flash mob
"Our residents are so patriotic. We have many people who live with us
who are almost a 100 years old that have been in the wars and this
meant a lot," says Margaret Norman, with Beaverton Lodge Retirement.
Organizers say they've wanted to do the flash mob for a while and President's Day was the perfect opportunity.
