HAZEL DELL, WA (KPTV) -
The Clark County Sheriff's Office is investigating a home invasion in South Hazel Dell.
Deputies were called to Evergreen Ridge Apartments at about 5:30 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of two armed, masked men barging into an apartment and assaulting a woman inside.
Leslie Kazzimir told Fox 12 she was babysitting the girl who lives at the apartment and the girl's friend when the men walked inside and ordered everyone to the ground.
"The two guys came in with guns and masks and yelled at us to lay down and stay still," said Kazzimir.
"We were petrified," said one of the young girls, 8, inside at the time.
"I yelled at the girls to get out and call 911," said Kazzimir, who described briefly struggling with the suspects.
"When you're in the middle of it, you're less scared than mad," she said.
No one was hurt, and it doesn't appear as though anything was stolen, according to detectives.
The victims said the suspects' faces were covered except for their eyes, so detailed descriptions aren't available.
Investigators say the two men managed to run away and have not yet been located.
