PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police have made an arrest in the case of a Good Samaritan who was shot at while trying to help the victim of a purse-snatching.

Officers say David Toedtemeier, 21, has been charged with first-degree robbery and a parole violation.

At about 9 p.m. Monday, officers were called out to reports of shots fired at the TriMet transit station at Southeast 94th Avenue and Division Street.

Police dispatchers reported that three men had stolen a woman's purse and the Good Samaritan, who tried to step in, was shot at. No one was injured.

Two persons of interest were detained, but it's not clear if Toedtemeier was one of them.

The investigation is continuing.
