Police arrest 2 in connection with Max platform robbery

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Two men face charges stemming from a reported robbery on the Max platform at Northeast Seventh Avenue and Holladay Street in Portland on Tuesday night.

Transit police responded at 11:16 p.m. and arrested 25-year-old Aklilu Girum and 25-year-old Conrad Milow after learning they had harassed and robbed a 34-year-old man, investigators said.

A 26-year-old witness tried to intervene, but was also assaulted and robbed by the suspects, detectives said.

Robbery detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.

Girum and Milow both face second-degree robbery charges and were booked into the Multnomah County Jail.
