Police search for hit-and-run driver

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash off of Interstate 205.

Witnesses say a speeding SUV crashed into another car and flew up an embankment.

Portland police dispatchers say the crash happened at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Witnesses say the driver of the SUV came barreling down the I-205 off-ramp at Powell Boulevard, crashed into the front of a stopped car and then went up the embankment of the max overpass.

The driver of the stopped car says he couldn't believe it when he saw the SUV coming straight at him.

Police say one person was taken to the hospital.

Witnesses say two men ran from the SUV after the crash.
