DALLAS, OR (KPTV) -

Oregon State Police are trying to piece together a deadly crash in Dallas.

Troopers discovered the body of 22-year-old Cody McDaniel Thursday morning.

McDaniel's truck left the roadway and ended upside down along Highway 22.

State Police Sgt. Craig Ball says a trooper found the truck on its roof in about five feet of water in a ditch on the side of the road.

Emergency crews flipped the truck and discovered McDaniel's body.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Troopers believe snowy weather may have played a part in the crash. Investigators say they found tire tracks leading from the snow and ice-covered road into the water.

The crash closed Oregon Highway 22 for several hours.
