Landslide closes highway west of Santiam Pass

IDANHA, OR (KPTV) -

Two landslides just west of the Santiam Pass closed Highway 20 on Wednesday morning.

The slides were reported around 10:15 a.m. at Hogg Rock, an ODOT spokesman said, and they trapped two cars in the area. No one was injured in the car and it was not buried.

ODOT crews used a snowblower to clear the way for the vehicles.

The highway reopened just after 4 p.m.

In addition to Highway 20, Highway 22 was closed near Mill City on Wednesday afternoon because of downed power lines.
