FOX 12 and Les Schwab Tire Centers will join forces to collect toys for children and families in need.
During the 2012 holiday season, the new FOX 12-Les Schwab Toy Drive will help as many children and families as possible with donations of new, unwrapped toys that will be distributed through a network of local nonprofit agencies.
Les Schwab Tire Centers has a 15-year commitment to collecting toys for kids at the holidays and giving back to their community.
"We are so proud to follow Les Schwab's community leadership and join them in collecting as many toys as possible because the value of a child's smile is priceless," said Patrick McCreery, FOX 12 vice president and general manager.
"This is a natural partnership because both Fox 12 and Les Schwab are local companies committed to serving our community," said Corey Hanson, FOX 12 executive news director
"We are very proud to have FOX 12 as a partner in pursuing our goal to better serve our community while helping families in need," said George Saddler, of Les Schwab Tire Centers
2012 is the perfect time to partner because both KPTV and Les Schwab started operating in Oregon in 1952 and each is celebrating its 60th anniversary of service to the community.
