PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Daimler Trucks has announced that it will be hiring employees for over 100 new positions in its North American facilities, including more than 30 positions at its corporate headquarters here in Portland.
The jobs available at Daimler's Portland facilities include engineering, finance, IT operations, purchasing, and other positions. Positions range from entry level to management.
"We have seen a resurgence in customer interest and orders over the last year as economic and industry recovery gained increasing momentum," David Carson, general manager human resources for Daimler, said in a press release. "We filled over 200 positions in Portland alone during the first quarter of 2012 and are continuing our search for talented and motivated candidates."
Daimler's corporate headquarters are located in northwest Portland's Swan Island area.
