Text-messaging man spooked by bear in Los Angeles neighborhood

LOS ANGELES (KPTV) -

A bear roaming a Los Angeles-area neighborhood gave one man quite a surprise Tuesday morning.

KABC reported the black bear was seen in the La Crescenta area of southern California.

Authorities eventually tranquilized it, but not before a KTLA helicopter captured footage of the bear spooking a text-messaging man.
