BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -
The Portland Timbers will unveil a new training center in Beaverton this week.
The team says it will open its new state-of-the-art Adidas Timbers Training center on Thursday morning, with the team's first practice at the new site.
The new training center, built as part of a 10-year partnership with Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District, features a grass field designated exclusively for Portland's Major League Soccer club.
According to the Timbers, the $6 million training center also has a synthetic FieldTurf field and a 6,000-square-foot indoor facility that will serve as the primary training location for the team.
