Isaac Arzate
SALEM, OR (KPTV) -
A Salem boy who collapsed during a basketball practice in January has died after experiencing another medical issue during Little League practice over the weekend.
Witnesses said Isaac Arzate, 12, was running during Little League practice Friday at Scott Elementary School when he started throwing up blood.
Family friends tell FOX 12 that doctors gave Arzate a clean bill of health just a few weeks ago and was told he could resume his normal lifestyle.
The family is still waiting for an autopsy to be completed to determine what caused Arzate's death.
Arzate suffered a heart attack Jan. 6, 2012 during basketball practice. He had surgery to repair a heart condition and was released a couple weeks later.
A fund has been set up in Isaac Arzate's name at U.S. Bank branches.
