A woman previously convicted of animal neglect has been convicted again. Today a jury found Gabriel Buckner guilty of 16 counts of animal neglect.
Buckner was on probation for a 2010 horse neglect conviction when police arrested her again in May 2011. Officers got an anonymous tip about horses being mistreated at a home on Skyline Road South in Salem. They seized 16 horses suffering from weight loss, skin infections and hoof neglect.
Deputies said Buckner also has a similar conviction from 1998 involving dogs and cats. She will be sentenced on May 3.
