HERMISTON, OR (KPTV) -

A 26-year-old woman from Hermiston could be in serious danger and now deputies have launched a national effort to try to find her.

Investigators in the eastern Oregon town believe Melody Mickel's estranged boyfriend kidnapped her.

Detectives said Albert Martinez, a registered sex offender, abducted Mickel from her workplace on Thursday.

Mickel is described as a white woman, 5'5" tall, weighing 126 pounds.

Deputies have also issued an arrest warrant for Martinez.

Martinez is 28 years old, 5'11" tall, and weighs between 160 and 180 pounds.

Investigators think they could be in a black 2006 Subaru Legacy.
