OREGON CITY, OR (KPTV) -
A bicyclist suffered serious injuries when a van struck him in Oregon City on Sunday evening, Oregon State Police reported.
According to OSP, the van dragged the victim nearly 150 feet on Highway 99E before coming to a stop. Troopers said the driver, Peter F. Peterson, did not realize he had struck anything, and eventually pulled over after noticing the van wasn't operating normally.
The bicyclist, identified as Rudy Dudleston of Portland, was taken to OHSU, police said. The latest report from Oregon State Police indicates Dudleston is listed in fair condition.
Peterson was cited for Failure to Yield to a Bicyclist, police said.
