A restaurant employee who was working with lacquer thinner in a restaurant bathroom suffered burns when some sort of flash fire erupted Monday afternoon, fire officials said.
Portland firefighters said crews responded to Dee's Restaurant in Gresham at 755 NE Burnside St. at about 3 p.m.
The employee, who is in his late 30s, was immediately rushed to Legacy Emanuel Hospital's Oregon Burn Center.
Gresham fire investigators are trying to determine what exactly sparked the fire, which caused roughly $2,000 in damage.
