CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -
A Clackamas County Jail deputy was sentenced to 30 days behind bars for attacking one of his inmates. Troy Steiner will also be on probation for two years and must undergo treatment for anger management. He will also not be able to have contact with the victim.
He was found guilty last week.
A jury reached their decision about Steiner on Friday and convicted him of assault, official misconduct and harassment.
Steiner was arrested in December 2010 after injuring Gary Willis Baumgardner earlier that year. Details about the attack were not disclosed in the charging documents.
