VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -
A Vancouver woman had to be cut out of her car after falling asleep behind the wheel.
According to Oregon State Police, Carol Dunsmore, 75, was going 60 mph on I-5 when she drifted into a parked semi near Siskiyou Summit on Monday afternoon.
She was air-lifted to Rogue Valley Medical Center with serious injuries. The truck driver was not hurt.
Dunsmore was wearing her seatbelt, and her airbags were deployed. Her small dog died in the crash.
Oregon State Police are continuing the investigation.
