Police in Vancouver hope a recent arrest stops an arson spree in the city that's caused neighbors to worry.
Police said they arrested a child in the case but won't identify the suspect or the suspect's age.
Detectives believe this person set at least eight separate fires between April 21 and April 28 in the westside Carter Park neighborhood.
The fires were set inside recycling bins, but in one case, a blaze spread to a carport and threatened a home.
Police said tips helped solve the case. Officers had handed out some 600 posters to area residents and watch groups, asking for information.
