PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A semi tipped over on Cornelius Pass Road, blocking the path between Highway 30 and Skyline Boulevard during the morning rush hour Tuesday.

Photos from FOX 12's helicopter showed the semi fully blocking one lane of travel. The accident occurred at about 8 a.m. between NW Sheltered Nook Road and NW Skyline Blvd.

The road has remain closed for several hours. Alternate routes include U.S. Highway 26 and, for trucks carrying hazardous loads, Interstate 5 to Highway 217 to Highway 26.

Multnomah County deputies said the semi driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. His semi went off the road and smashed a utility pole before rolling onto its side.

While there was a school bus located at the crash scene when FOX 12's helicopter first arrived, there did not appear to be any damage to the bus and no injuries to anyone on board the bus.

Deputies later said the school bus was not involved in the crash and the driver had left by the time police arrived.
