Portland police say white powder found in an envelope at a north Portland tattoo parlor doesn't appear to be connected with other recent incidents in Portland.
Officers and firefighters responded to Infinity Tattoo at 3316 N. Lombard St. at 10:16 a.m.
Based on an initial examination, the substance doesn't appear to be toxic, police said.
Firefighters will continue to test the substance and then turn over the evidence to the police bureau for a follow-up.
The incident took place just a few days after the FBI said they had put an end to the person or people behind as many as six white powder envelopes that were sent to several locations around the city.
