TIGARD, OR (KPTV) -

Tigard police used a Taser on a suspect they said stabbed two people at a bus shelter Tuesday morning.

A man called 911 just after 11 a.m. to report being stabbed at the corner of Pacific Highway and Walnut Place in Tigard. Another man was stabbed as well.

Both victims were taken to Oregon Health & Science University for treatment. Police said initial indications are that their injuries are not life-threatening.

A Beaverton Police Department K-9 located the suspect within an hour. Police said the suspect was trying to hide in a heavily vegetated area on Frewing Street, several blocks from the crime scene.

Officers said the suspect was armed with a knife and not listening to their instructions to surrender. That's when a Tigard officer used a Taser.

The suspect was then taken into custody.

The suspect's name has not yet been released.
