SALEM, OR (KPTV) -
Marion County sheriff's deputies said Thursday they have responded to several burglaries concentrated near the intersection of Duck Inn Road and Wabash Road in the past two weeks.
Deputies said thieves have taken all-terrain vehicles, firearms, electronics and tools totaling more than $20,000 in value.
The thefts have mostly occurred at night or early morning, but some residential burglaries have even occurred during the day.
"It's so violating," victim Laura Miller said. "They took nearly $4,000 worth of property from us. Our neighbors are missing 4-wheelers, and others are missing some big items. We are all definitely looking hard for people we don't recognize in the neighborhood."
Senior Deputy Dave Wagner would like to remind citizens to lock their doors.
