Marion County deputies investigating death

SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

The discovery of a man's body in Hayesville has led Marion County deputies to a death investigation.

Deputies say the 43-year-old man was found dead inside an apartment at 4490 Seaton Lane Northeast at about 9:45 p.m. Thursday.

Deputies say the man died from an apparent gunshot wound. They are working to find out if it was self-inflicted or murder.

They are not releasing the man's name until they can notify his family.
