Toddlers injured by falling television

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Two toddlers were injured when a heavy television fell on them Thursday evening in southeast Portland.

Emergency crews took two 20-month-old children to OHSU after they were injured by that 100-pound tube television. One of them suffered severe injuries.

Crews responded to the home near Southeast 145th Avenue and Division Street at about 6 p.m. Thursday.

Fire officials said the TV was precariously propped up on a very unstable stand.

They also noted that the mother of the children was extremely distraught.
