Randolph Murie
SALEM, OR (KPTV) -
A police standoff ended in Salem Monday night with officers placing one man under arrest.
Salem police said they were trying to serve a warrant for obstructing the courts to Randolph Murie.
Police said he brandished what appeared to be a handgun and locked himself in a bedroom inside a home on Mize Road Southeast and Pauline Avenue.
Officers used less-lethal weapons to try and subdue him.
Eventually, they were able to coax him out and take him into custody.
Police said the man's weapon turned out to be an airsoft gun with the orange tip painted black, so it would look like a real gun.
Officers said Murie may face additional charges now for eluding police and brandishing a gun.
