ESTACADA, OR (KPTV) -
Highway 211 north of Colton was closed for three hours Monday after a log truck crashed, sending its load of logs across the highway.
According to Oregon State Police Trooper Scott McLeod, the truck was pulling a loaded log trailer as it traveled southbound on Highway 211 near milepost 24 around noon. While negotiating a left curve, the trailer went off the road onto the soft shoulder and rolled, dumping logs across the highway.
The truck was driven by 55-year-old Errol Knobf of Molalla. Knobf was not injured.
The crash closed Highway 211 in both directions while the logging company and The Oregon Department of Transportation cleared the logs. The highway re-opened about 3:20 p.m.
Knobf was cited by police for failure to maintain a lane of travel.
Oregon State Police troopers were assisted at the scene by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, the Colton Fire Department, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
