A Portland police officer will go through an alcohol treatment program after pleading guilty to drunk driving.
On Wednesday, Homero Reynaga made his plea in court. A judge suspended his license for one year.
Authorities arrested Reynaga in Salem last year after a crash involving another car while Reynaga was off-duty. Investigators said he had a blood-alcohol level of three times the legal limit.
Reynaga still faces an assault charge in connection with the case. He is expected to be back in court in mid-July.
