HAPPY VALLEY, OR (KPTV) -
An elderly couple survived a crash in Happy Valley.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says 86-year-old Phyllis Rose and 89-year-old Parzy Rose were making a left turn when a truck towing trailer crashed into them.
It happened at Southeast Highway 212 and Southeast 172nd Avenue.
Deputies say Rose and her husband were taken to the hospital complaining of pain.
The truck driver, Marc LaVaque, was not hurt.
LaVaque told authorities his brakes were not working properly.
An off-duty deputy from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office witnessed the crash and was able to help right away.
