MAPLE FALLS, WA -
One day after being released from prison, a Beaverton man is accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and kidnapping their 1-year-old child.
Police say Scott Vaughn drove up to Maple Falls, WA, near the Canadian border on Thursday morning, attacked two men with a metal pry bar and then assaulted his ex-girlfriend. Police say he then took off with their baby girl.
Officers tracked down Vaughn and arrested him, along with his father and sister, who were both in the car.
Vaughn had just been released from prison where he was serving time for a parole violation.
