LONGVIEW, WA (KPTV) -
Longview police are investigating two recent reports of attempted lurings.
One of the incidents allegedly happened on May 9 near Pacific Way and Sunset Way.
A 12-year-old girl told officers that an older model black van passed her a couple of times as she walked down the street.
She said the van stopped, and a man and woman who were inside offered her a ride, but she declined.
Then on May 22, a man reportedly approached a 12-year-old girl near 28th Avenue and Florida Street and asked her to go to a house so he could give her an umbrella.
That girl also refused to go.
Police said that based on the information given to them by the girls, it doesn't appear that the same man is involved in both cases.
At this point, no suspects have been identified.
