Rose Festival CityFair open at Waterfront Park

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Another year of rides, music, good eats and fun got started at Waterfront Park on Friday night when Rose Festival CityFair kicked off.

The annual event, perhaps most famous for its carnival rides, is open three full weekends this year and features local beer, live exotic animals, shopping, a new ride and special attractions.

First and foremost, however, was the opening night fireworks show Friday.

The fireworks started off with a bang at 10 p.m.

Admission was free for everyone Friday, and then $5 for ages 7 and over on all other dates.
