Salem police and the FBI investigating bank robbery

SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

The Salem Police Department and FBI are working together to investigate a bank robbery that happened at the US Bank at 1317 State St. in Salem on Friday.

Salem police got the call at about 10:30 a.m. after a lone suspect gave a teller in the bank a note and flashed a handgun.

The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen walking northbound on 13th Street from the bank.

A canine unit was brought in but did not find the robber.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 20 to 30 years old, 5'06", and about 145 pounds.

He also has a goatee and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray long sleeve shirt with an orange emblem, black gloves with white markings, a knit cap with a rim and sunglasses.
