Missing pilot and plane found

KLAMATH COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Authorities believe they have found the body of a missing pilot from Idaho and his plane on Hart Mountain.

Tony Nicholls went missing last week after he dropped off his two stepsons in Lakview, OR. The Oregon Wing of the Civil Air Patrol found the crash site Wednesday afternoon. The wreckage was at 6,500 feet on the west face of Hart Mountain, about 13 miles northeast of Plush, OR.

The crash is now under investigation.
