PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland Police Missing Persons detectives are seeking the public's help in finding a missing cognitively challenged woman.

Rachelle Laws, 22, last had contact with her care providers at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, when she called to let them know she had missed her transfer bus at the Gateway transit center.

She was seen on surveillance cameras at the transit center at 4:43 p.m. that night, but she never returned home. Authorities believe she may have gotten onto a  number 77 bus heading east.

She has lived at her current care home for 13 years and has never failed to return home from her job in the Jantzen Beach area.

Laws is described as a white woman, standing 5' tall and weighing 100 pounds. She has shoulder-length, dirty blonde hair worn in a ponytail and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a black, wool letterman-style jacket with white sleeves, blue jeans and gray tennis shoes.

Anyone who sees Laws is asked to immediately call 911.
