MILWAUKIE, OR (KPTV) -
A pickup truck crashed at a car wash Wednesday afternoon, pinning an employee against a wall, investigators said.
According to the Milwaukie Police Department, Donald Ives, 87, accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake pedal while entering Purdy's Carwash on Southeast Harrison Street. The vehicle ended up pinning employee Regino Colop-Morales against a wall temporarily, officers said.
Colop-Morales suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, investigators said. The building was damaged by the impact and was temporarily closed for repairs.
According to police, the incident is being forwarded to the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles for evaluation.
