PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
An 89-year-old woman is in critical condition after firefighters found her unconscious inside a burning northeast Portland home Thursday night.
The fire started at about 7:30 p.m. at Northeast 27th and Thompson Street.
A man was yelling on the front porch that his mother was inside when firefighters arrived at the scene.
Crews went inside and found her unconscious on the second floor. They got her out and rushed her to the hospital.
She was listed in critical condition at Emanuel Hospital Thursday night.
The man was taken to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation.
It is not yet known what caused the fire or the extent of the damage done to the home.
