A 26-year-old Hillsboro man was injured in a Thursday night motorcycle crash.
The unidentified man was traveling westbound on Harewood Street between Autumn Rose Way and Glencoe Road just after 8:30 p.m. when he lost control of his bike and struck the curb. He was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in a grassy area where he received injuries to his neck and back.
An early investigation by police shows that the man was traveling at the speed limit and wearing a helmet. Investigators do not believe alcohol, drugs or reckless driving were a factor.
He was transported by helicopter to Emanuel Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
