Former principal, already facing sex abuse charges, arrested again

WEST LINN, OR (KPTV) -

A former high school principal was arrested on charges he sexually abused a student.

According to Oregon State Police, Michael Richard Bremont sexually abused a 17-year-old female student between December 2005 and March 2006. He was the principal at Central Linn High School at the time.

Bremont, 39, was arrested Thursday at a relative's home in West Linn. He was booked into the Linn County Jail on a charge of sex abuse.

At the time of his arrest, he was under house arrest awaiting trial for similar charges in Deschutes County, where he used to be the director of the Redmond Proficiency Academy.
