CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -
Drivers got an eyeful Saturday morning when a hot air balloon made an unexpected landing adjacent to I-205.
The balloon had launched from Aurora with 10 people aboard. It touched down in a grassy area along I-205 near Highway 224 at about 7:45 a.m.
The balloon's operator landed there because windy conditions made it unsafe to land at either of its two usual locations in Canby.
An Oregon State Police spokesman says, prior to their arrival on the scene, there were reports that the balloon was flying low above the Willamette River near Oregon City.
The balloon was deflated and removed from the area about 30 minutes after landing.
No one was hurt.
