Portland police said a man was hit by a car and killed Sunday evening at the intersection of Southeast Powell Boulevard and 82nd Avenue.
Officers arriving at about 9:30 p.m. found the adult man at the intersection with fatal injuries after being struck.
The Traffic Division Major Crash Team was called to the scene to conduct the investigation. The driver of the car was traveling southbound on 82nd Avenue and remained at the scene.
Investigation is ongoing, however, early indications are that speed and impairment were not factors in the crash.
