Man rescued from cruise ship near Coos Bay

COOS BAY, OR (KPTV) -

The Coast Guard says it rescued a 71-year-old man from the cruise ship Sea Princess on Monday.

The man reported having heart problems while on board the ship, which met rescuers about 60 miles west of Coos Bay. The man was transported by a 47-foot motor lifeboat crew to shore. There he was transferred to local paramedics.

There is no word on his condition.
