PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
You have a chance to enjoy a gourmet meal made by one of Portland's top chefs while helping a Portland charity.
The "Our House" dinner series kicks off Monday and runs through March of next year.
Our House of Portland provides housing and medical care to low-income men and women with HIV and AIDS.
The dinner series includes nearly 70 different theme dinners. You can enjoy cuisines ranging from Italian to Hawaiian.
Some of the dinners are held at local restaurants, while others are hosted at homes around Portland.
All of the proceeds go to help Our House care for its patients.
"We started in 1988 when AIDS was a crisis. It's 24-hour care for people with AIDS. They may also have coexisting mental health issues, drug addiction issues," said James Lindquist of Our House of Portland.
