PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Ten of Portland's top chefs will be cooking up gourmet meals in local gardens this summer.

The Chef In My Garden dinner series will benefit Growing Gardens, a non-profit group that puts vegetable gardens in low-income neighborhoods to help feed the hungry.

Tickets to Chef In My Garden are expected to sell out fast, but seven of the 10 dinners currently have seats available.

Scott Dolich, from The Bent Brick and Park Kitchen, is one of the chefs donating his time to the cause.

"Growing Gardens takes chefs from around Portland and puts us into beautiful gardens around the Portland area," Dolich said. "We take stuff from the garden and from our own kitchens and make dinners for 40 or 50 people."

Among the other chefs expected to participate are Jason French of Ned Ludd, Scott Ketterman of Crown Paella, Michael Stanton of The Heathman and Jenn Louis of Lincoln.

The first dinner is set for June 24.
