PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Detectives are looking for the public's help in finding children who attended a Hillsboro in-home day care between 1991 and 2006, after the day care owner's husband was jailed on first-degree sex abuse charges.

Detectives arrested 50-year-old Richard Alexander on June 5 on charges of first-degree sexual penetration of a child and first-degree sex abuse.

Police said the crime happened in 2001 at an in-home, 24-hour daycare that was operated by Alexander's wife.

The day care didn't have a name, but it was located at a two-story home in the area of Southwest Minter Bridge Road and River Road.

Beaverton police began an investigation May 21 when a 16-year-old boy reported sex abuse that had happened when he was 5 years old. The child reported he was sexually abused by Alexander on overnight stays at the day care, police said.

Anyone who may have information about the case is asked to call police at 503-629-0111.
