An Oregon representative from Wilsonville is stepping down from a GOP leadership role after allegations of an inappropriate relationship with an aide.
Matt Wingard has not been charged with any sort of crime. House Republican leaders say he volunteered to step down as Deputy Republican Leader of the Oregon House of Republicans.
Wingard hopes his decision to step down will allow him to focus on the allegations and continue to serve his constituents.
