PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Work on the Interstate Bridge will slow down drivers trying to get across the Columbia River on I-5.
The bridge will close to all southbound traffic Thursday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday.
Crews will be working to repair a counter-weight for the draw bridge. Drivers can expect closures to continue next week.
ODOT recommends that drivers take the Glen Jackson Bridge during the closures. The northbound side will remain open for pedestrians and cyclists.
