Garbage rate hike proposed for Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Some garbage services in Washington County could be facing rate hikes.

County officials held a meeting to discuss a possible 1 percent rate increase for commercial containers and a nearly 13 percent increase for drop box services.

Those changes would only happen for customers in unincorporated Washington County.

Residential customers' rates and all other service charges would stay the same.
